MST’s Vehicle Intelligence Platform (VIP) is a cost effective step to improve asset management and productivity. The VIP module transmits location aware real time production and maintenance related data such as payload, vital vehicle diagnostics and location to mine management/ERP systems through wireless Ethernet communication. The VIP unit also enables proximity detection by being able to read tags carried by people. The VIP solution provides real time diagnostic data that enables predictive maintenance to be performed and real time, accurate production statistics to be monitored and managed.
Reverse Tracking: By simply placing Self Contained RFID Tags at strategic points in the mine, such as draw points, ore-passes etc, then the true location of a machine can be known. Benefits, such as grade control, can be more easily combined with payload data and cycles times to provide accurate real time information about mine production. The information ensures end of month reconciliations are a much simpler process.
